Sweet Berry Farm

When you love something so much, you have to tell someone about it. That’s why we’re telling you –all of our guests past, present, and future– of one of our favorite places on Aquidneck Island: Sweet Berry Farm. If you just heard the word “farm” and want to stop reading, don’t. This island treasure is so much more than just a farm; it’s a gorgeous and relaxing hang-out for locals, and some outside visitors lucky enough to find out about it.Sweetberry-11Sweetberry-8SweetberrySweet Berry opens early in the morning and closes just after dinner giving plenty of opportunity to enjoy coffee, lunch, or a relaxing early evening treat. Their retail shop stocks a wonderful medley of pastries, cookies, and cakes; hand-made sandwiches; home-grown produce; fresh-cut flowers and so much more. Vistors can choose to enjoy themselves indoors in the rustic, barn-style gathering room, on the front covered patio, or in the “backyard” where umbrella-coved picnic rounds offer a welcome respite from the afternoon sun.Sweetberry-15Sweetberry-12

They have a small and friendly staff (equipped to scoop you some homemade ice cream) and plenty of parking out front. Sweet Berry Farm is about a ten minute drive from the Admiral Fitzroy. But best of all Sweet Berry is for pickers. Strawberries, peaches, apples, pumpkins, whatever the fruit of the season, you can pick it at Sweet Berry Farm. So bring your camera and enjoy a blissful and very sweet addition to your travels. And tell them the Admiral sent you!Sweetberry-18Sweetberry-17
