Do you have passion for boating? The Newport International Boat Show (NIBS), is one of the largest and most prestigious boat shows in the country. It is so vast it spans thirteen acres of Newport, Rhode Island’s waterfront. There is a full range of powerboats and sailboats from both domestic and international manufacturers that you can check out. The Wine Worshipper: 12th Annual Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival – September 21 – 24, 2017:

What could be better than wine tasting and cooking demonstrations from the most talented and nationally renown chefs? Add the one of most spectacular settings in Newport and you will understand how this is one of the biggest events of the year! Check out all the amazing food and wine experts who will be there! All proceeds support the historic preservation mission of The Preservation Society of Newport County.

The Animal Aficionado: Audubon’s Raptor Weekend – September 9, 2017 – September 10, 2017

This two day festival celebrates amazing animals. Watch eagles, owls, falcons and hawks in mind blowing live flight demonstrations. The Sports Supporter: Newport Polo Series – USA Vs. England – September 2, 2017

Who doesn’t love a game of polo? Did you know dating back more than 130 years in Newport, the polo matches are one of Newport’s grandest and most popular traditions? The Newport International Polo Series XXVI the first week of September will feature USA vs. England. They are rivals so it should be an exciting match! It is $12 for General Admission tickets. We mentioned in our last blog the thrill of lobster sails. The good news is they still happen in September! It is truly the BEST way to see the City by the Sea this summer AND into fall. An amazing sail on a breathtaking boat and a lobster meal… what could be better? Rail explorers is a great way to spend an afternoon with everyone you love. The tour begins on a bus with a guide providing knowledgeable information about the area.
